News item text is a type of writing that provides up-to-date information about events that are important to report.

News items are divided into two, namely news items delivered in writing (text) and news items delivered orally. When it comes to written or text news items, we usually find them in newspapers, magazines or tabloids. Meanwhile, we will listen to oral news items via television, radio, and platforms such as YouTube.

Purpose of News Item Text:

News item text aims to provide information to readers or listeners.

Usually, news item text will provide information about the latest and factual events. That way, people can always be updated about events in a place.

2. Newsworty Event: November concert in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium will mark the first time the band Coldplay is performing in Indonesia.
